The special program we created in 2019 was called "The Faces of Parkinson's!" The goal was to tell the tale of each person’s journey with Parkinson’s, reveal how it has impacted their lives, their work or hobbies, and offer an account of what they have done differently because of the disease. We wanted to find out and share more about our Parkinson’s family here in the Midwest. The culmination of this work is the Faces of Parkinson’s book (see cover at right) and a video that we shared at the event. A link to the video on YouTube will be available soon. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing a copy of the book or the video at (608) 302-7088. Proceeds go to the costs of hosting the 2020 Parkinson's Family Night event.
For five consecutive years during the month of September SOL Fitness has hosted the Annual Parkinson’s Family Event. Please join us for our BBQ Party on Sunday, September 6th at 12:30 PM at Big Hill Park - Beloit, WI. The park is south of Janesville just off Afton Road. As always the event is FREE for those with Parkinson's and their families/caregivers! For more information contact Connie Udell at (608) 302-7088.
